Grocery Gift Cards
Beginning Thursday, April 2, 2020 families can obtain grocery gift cards through our network of Family Source Centers. 3-1-1 staff will connect callers to a Family Source Center to apply over the phone and schedule an appointment.
Families/Individuals must call first before visiting the FSC. Walk-in appointments are not available for public safety reasons.
To be eligible the household must meet the Federal Poverty Level (see Table 1 below) and have been denied unemployment insurance benefit -or- ineligible for public benefits (i.e. CalFresh, CalWORKs, General Relief, etc.) and/or applied for unemployment insurance benefit, CalFresh, CalWORKs, General Relief or CalFresh, and have not received their first check.

Del Amo Telepsyhiatric Help:
Del Amo Hospital has launched our Electronic Telehealth Psychiatric Evaluation Team,
Monday, April 6, 2020. If you have a patient who requires a psychiatric assessment for danger to self, danger to others, or gravely disabled, we can assist you.
To initiate the process, contact our Intake Department, 310-784-2219, and they will assist you. Also see the guidelines below. I have also attached our guidelines and a consent form.
If needed, Del Amo can still physically send someone for a psychiatric assessment per request.
Additionally, Del Amo Hospital’s Adult Partial Hospitalization Programs and Intensive Outpatient (PhP/IOP) and Adolescent IOP programs
remain open on our virtual platforms. If you have anyone who needs additional outpatient mental health support, please contact us.

1) Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA): Please see attached documents regarding CHIRLA's COVID-19 resources, in both English and Spanish. Also, CHIRLA will be conducting virtual presentations for the community. Details to come as CHIRLA finalizes the logistics and topics. 2) Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), has launched a helpline for students and families to call and speak with mental health counselors. The helpline number is: (213) 241-3840, and is available Monday- Friday (from 6:00am- 6:00pm).
3) Sisters on the Streets will be receiving a donation of feminine hygiene products from Kotex U. If your agency is in need of these products, please send an email to [email protected], to coordinate a drop-off date and an estimate of supplies you will be needing for a 30-day supply. The following are items that can be delivered/mailed: pads, liners, tampons and/or dispensers. The only request is that the product dispensers are placed directly into the restrooms and kept stocked to ensure products are accessible at all times without women having to ask.
